Traveling through SFO? Meet Lilou

Put down the Xanax and head over to pet the world’s first therapy pig at San Francisco Airport (SFO).  Lilou, is the first certified piggy with SF SPCA AAT program.  In layman’s terms, this adorable piglet will greet you with her snout and twirl around for you in her tutu and red polished hooves, in hopes of making your travel more enjoyable.

Lilou isn’t the only member of what SFO calls the “Wag Brigade”.  She is joined by a variety of different dogs that are carefully chosen for their temperament and airport suitability.  These adorable animals walk around with a vest that says “PET ME”, so if you share a love for furry friends, or if your two year old is trying to sabotage the family vacay, make sure you stop and see one of them!

With a social media following of over 10,000 fans, Lilou the Pig is a staple throughout the terminals.  SFO isn’t the only airport to provide the service so if you’re traveling through LA, Miami, or Oklahoma City you might catch these little guys before take-off.
